Originally from Fort Wayne, Ind., Zack has a strong background in food and beverage and is a Sommelier in the Guild of Sommeliers.He has worked in the club industry for over 14 years at Indiana’s Sycamore Hills Golf Club. During his tenure, Sycamore Hills was ranked 69th on Golf Digest’s Top 100 Best Courses in America and hosted nine national championships and 10 Blessings in a Backpack Celebrity Chef events featuring such chefs as Charlie Trotter, Marcus Samuelson, Michael Symon and Stephanie Izard.
Zack is moved to the Naples area with his wife, Lauren, and their Labradooble, Charlie.
Wendy Felsinger, Communications & Marketing Director
Originally from Fort Wayne, Ind., Wendy has a strong background in marketing and communications with emphases in writing and digital marketing. She has worked in the club industry for over 13 years and spent eight years at Indiana’s Sycamore Hills Golf Club. During her tenure, Sycamore Hills was ranked 69th on Golf Digest’s Top 100 Best Courses in America and hosted two USGA Championships, five PGA Championships and seven Blessings in a Backpack Celebrity Chef events featuring such chefs as Charlie Trotter, Marcus Samuelson Rick Bayless and Michael Symon. Wendy has also writtenfor a regional magazine including features on Tom Watson, Michael Symon and Amanda Blumenherst. She oversees the writing, design, publishing and distribution of all printed and electronic Club communications.
Don has worked in the club industry for 28 years, beginning his career with PGA National in West Palm Beach, Florida, and at Vestavia Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama. He then spent 14 years at Indiana’s Sycamore Hills Golf Club. During his tenure there, Sycamore Hills was ranked 69 on Golf Digest’s Top 100 Best Courses in America. In 2009, the club hosted the PGA Junior National Championship. Most recently, Don helped to turn around Chapel Hill Country Club by growing the membership and developing a new financial model. His experience also has included developing respected and nationally recognized programs in swimming, tennis, and golf course operations.
Kevin Leo is a seasoned manager with nearly 30 years of experience in golf course maintenance, design, construction, and staff management. He has worked with golf course architects Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, Jack Nicklaus, Bill O’Leary, Arthur Hills, and P.B. Dye, among many others. For his design and development work of the golf course at Old Corkscrew Golf Club, Kevin achieved the Audubon International Silver Sanction. Old Corkscrew was also named Best New Golf Course in 2008 by Golf Digest.
Kevin has a thorough knowledge of golf course construction and grow-in from his work at prestigious golf courses in the Bahamas and the U.S., including Quail West Golf and Country Club, The Strand Golf Club, Miramar Lakes Golf and Country Club, and Olde Cypress Golf and Country Club.
Chef Scott Ross, CEC, has developed his craft over the past 20 years next to some of the most talented hotel and club chefs of modern times. Classically apprenticed at the Piping Rock Club and working with master chefs at four Ritz Carlton properties, Scott honed time honored traditional cooking skills while perfecting modern day cooking techniques.
In addition to numerous positions at Platinum Clubs and Five Star Five Diamond Hotels, Scott has held the position of Executive Chef at Loblolly in Hobe Sound, FL, Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, SC, and The Point Lake and Golf Club in Mooresville, NC. Scott is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, with an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts.
Throughout his career, he has had the honor of hosting different styles of events including charity fundraisers, USGA tournaments, multi-course wine dinners, and even cooking for two United States presidents. Scott has also worked for two PGA events including the Masters at Augusta National. As a Certified Executive Chef through the American Culinary Federation, Scott continually focuses on not only furthering his own education in both food and wine, but also those of the young culinarians who surround him.
Gregg comes to Quail Creek with more than 10 years of experience in both the food & beverage and golf operations of the club industry. Most recently, Gregg was the food & beverage manager at Grey Oaks Country Club in Naples. Gregg earned his Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality management from the University of Alabama, where he also played on the University’s golf team. He is an active member of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA).
Gregg grew up around the club business and has a strong understanding of what it takes to not only meet, but exceed, Members’ expectations.
Gregg is originally from Chicago and currently lives in Bonita Springs with his wife Danita and son, Grayson.
With more than 20 years of accounting and finance experience in non-profit and corporate environments, Renee brings a combination of experience in strategic planning, financial operations, cash flow management, investment management and audit experience to Quail Creek Country Club. Previously, she spent 12 years with the Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts, where she was Director of Finance for six of those years. She also served as Chief Financial Officer for the 1st Credit Union of Gainesville in Gainesville, FL.
Jennifer May, Director of Marketing & Communications
Jennifer has been a part of the Quail Creek family since 2013, when she joined the team as digital marketing specialist. As Director of Marketing and Communications, she brings 20 years of experience in marketing and communications to the position and is dedicated to promoting the all-new Quail Creek Country Club while ensuring a positive lifestyle experience for all members. Her background includes marketing and client services for industries such as commercial real estate, telecommunications, aerospace engineering and non-profits.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s Degree in mass communications from Towson State University in Baltimore, MD.
Nate Johnson, Head Golf Professional/Golf Pro Shop Manager
Born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Nate graduated from Ferris State University with a B.S. in Marketing specialized for Professional Golf Management. He worked as an Assistant Pro at Foxfire Country Club here in Naples from 1998 until 2004, when he joined the Quail Creek Golf staff.
As the Club’s Head Professional, Nate does a wonderful job of managing the merchandise and budgeting of the Golf Pro Shop. Nate loves everything about the game of golf and helps his students with a relaxed and uncomplicated approach to teaching this difficult game.
Mike is a Minnesota native who has enjoyed almost two decades as Quail Creek’s golf pro. He is an accomplished teacher, staff leader, and master of ceremonies. Mike is an optimist and an encourager. His teaching style is to work your current swing into a more relaxed, natural movement, and then focus on comfort, consistency, and confidence.
A graduate of marketing from Ferris University with the president’s award in academics, Mike is respected as one of the top PGA professionals in Florida. His club experience includes La Quinta and Rancho Las Palmas in Palm Springs, CA; Dallas Country Club in Dallas, TX; Atlanta Athletic Club in Atlanta, GA; and Nassau Country Club and Rockaway Hunt Club on Long Island, NY.
Jon Call, Director of Tennis, USPTA Professional 1
Jon was born in Ridgefield, CT and grew up in Naples, FL. He graduated from Barron Collier High School and The Hotchkiss School in Connecticut. He received his degree in Paralegal Studies from Florida Southwestern College. Jon was a member of the Barron Collier state championship team and the Hotchkiss School New England championship team.
As a USPTA Elite Level professional, Jon served as a teaching professional at the Field Club of Greenwich, Mediterra Club, The Maidstone Club, and was the Assistant Coach for the Community School boys’ team.
Jon is currently the USPTA District President for Bonita Springs. He was named the 2013 USPTA District Pro of the Year as voted on by his peers.
Teri was hired as a part-time receptionist in February, 2007 and became our full-time Office Manager in October, 2011. In October 2015, she was promoted to Fitness Operations Manager. She relocated here from Michigan in 2003 with her husband and two daughters. Since relocating to Florida, she has become an avid tennis player and sports enthusiast.
Mary comes to Quail Creek with more than 20 years of experience in the hotel/hospitality field where she held such positions as account manager, director of worldwide accounts, general manager, and director of sales for Sheraton, Hilton and Marriott. She has been a resident of Naples for five years and has lived in Maryland, Washington, DC, New York City, Chicago and Connecticut.
Mary is very active in the Southwest Florida community. She is the president of the Collier County Sports Council; a VIP Chair for the PACE Center for Girls Love that Dress event; National Nominating Board Chair and Gala Chair for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation; and a volunteer for Avow Hospice.
Born and raised in Bethesda, Maryland, Mary is the youngest of six children and has 16 nieces and nephews. Mary’s hobbies include golf, pickleball, spinning and walking. She enjoys reading, going to movies, dining out, and spending time with family and friends.
