The season’s book selections are determined at the first session, but you need not have read the book to participate. All Quail Creek Members are welcome.

The Quail Creek Investment Group is comprised of Club Members who attend a series of presentations and roundtables to have fun while expanding their knowledge of economics and investments. Members do not invest money as a group. Most Members articulate sufficient knowledge to participate in weekly meetings, but many Members attend meetings to learn investment strategy, until they are ready to participate in discussions.

A calendar of meetings and subjects to be discussed at those meetings are provided in a newsletter. This newsletter also contains Members’ contributions, book reviews, and the editor’s articles of interest. Subjects in this newsletter and at the meetings have included, among many others, asset allocation, demographic trends, economic outlooks, estate planning, fiduciary responsibilities, hedging techniques, index funds, investment alternatives, trading metrics, and legal and accounting principles.

Mahjong at Quail Creek welcomes new players all season, whether you have played before or never played and want to learn. This group focuses on fun first and loves to teach new Members how to play.
The Men’s Christian Group meets for golf and fellowship on Mondays from January through the end of April. Many issues and topics related to the Christian faith are discussed. Following the meeting, the group plays nine holes of golf. Everyone is welcome whether they play golf or not.
This group plays year-round and welcomes anyone interested in learning to play Shanghai. The group plays on Thursdays from 12:30 pm until 4:30 pm in the Women’s Locker Room. They meet for lunch prior to each game.
