Bid is a seasoned hospitality professional with a rich background in culinary arts, wine expertise, and extensive experience in hotel and club management. As a trained chef and Sommelier, he brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the culinary and beverage world.
Bid's journey in the world of hospitality began with his academic pursuits at the University of Tunis, where he studied Culinary and Hotel Management. This educational foundation laid the groundwork for his successful career in the industry. He has since gone on to become a Certified Food & Beverage Manager and earned various certifications from the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) including Club Management, Leadership Principles, General Manager/Chief Operating Officer and Golf Management.
Bid's impressive career includes serving as the Food & Beverage Manager at the Le Meridian & Fremont Hotels in New Orleans, the Peabody Hotel in Orlando and the Hilton Resort on Marco Island.
In 2000, Bid took on the role of Director of Food & Beverage at Island Country Club on Marco Island for an impressive 15 years, leaving an indelible mark on the club's culinary reputation. His dedication and expertise in this role led to his promotion to Clubhouse Manager and, subsequently, General Manager/COO, where he successfully led Island Country Club for six years through COVID-19 and a major clubhouse renovation.
Outside of his dynamic career, Bid is a devoted family man. His greatest joy is found in spending time with his wife, Jen, daughter, Sarah, son, Lane, and granddaughter, Ayla.
